The iPhone is more than just an Internet-connected cell phone. It can also serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot, letting you provide Internet access to other devices like laptop computers and tablets. This is particularly valuable when you're on the road working and presenting. After all, while the iPhone is a powerful business tool, it doesn't offer enough screen real estate to really get work done. Tablets do and, with an iPhone-provided tethered Internet connection, they can keep you productive.

How can I use internet on my iPhone through the USB port with my laptop? I have internet connection DSL (PTCL).
Your iPhone can become disabled after too many incorrect pass code entries. Luckily, a disabled iPhone can be fixed using one of Apple’s three unlocking methods.
How the iPhone is Disabled
Apple’s iOS software automatically disables an iPhone after the wrong pass code is entered on the iPhone six consecutive times. The first time it is disabled, the iPhone stays disabled for a minute, while further incorrect entries disable the iPhone for 5, 15 and 60 minutes respectively. The 10th incorrect pass code entry disables the iPhone until you connect the device to iTunes to unlock it. Apple does this to keep others from typing in multiple pass codes and potentially unlocking your iPhone by guessing the right pass code.
Unlocking Your iPhone With iTunes![]()
Unlock your iPhone using iTunes if your iPhone has become disabled after 10 incorrect pass code attempts. Plug one end of the iPhone charging cable into the charging port on your iPhone and plug the USB end into your computer’s USB port. Launch the iTunes program and wait for the “Enter Passcode” window to display again on your iPhone. Type in your pass code for the iPhone. If you do not know the pass code, you can try removing the pass code using either iTunes or Recovery Mode.
Removing the Pass Code From an iPhone With iTunes by Erasing the iPhone
Erasing your iPhone with iTunes removes the pass code, but keep in mind that you will lose all your device’s data unless you made a backup of the device before you forgot its pass code.
Removing the Pass Code From an iPhone With Recovery Mode
You can also use recovery mode to fix your disabled iPhone. As with the iTunes method, you will lose all data on the device with Recovery Mode. Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes. Force a restart on your iPhone to initiate recovery mode.
Wait for iTunes to display the message “There is a problem with the iPhone that requires it to be updated or restored” on your PC screen. Click the “Restore” button and wait for iTunes to restore it. Your iPhone can then be set up as a new device and will be ready to use again.

Standard “tethering” involves connecting your phone, tablet, or other device to your smartphone, sharing your smartphone’s mobile data connection with your other devices. But you may sometimes want to get your iPhone or iPad online via your PC or Mac.
This is most useful when you’re in an area with low signal strength — perhaps if you don’t have a Wi-Fi signal and only have an Ethernet connection available to you. Or, you may be unable to connect your iPhone or iPad to the local Wi-Fi network.
Reverse-Tether Over Wi-Fi
RELATED:How to Turn Your Windows PC Into a Wi-Fi Hotspot
Wi-Fi tethering might be the best idea, just as creating a Wi-Fi hotspot on your phone is a good way to share its mobile data connection. If you’re unable to get your iPhone or iPad online because there’s no Wi-Fi signal near you and you have to connect your laptop or PC to an old-fashioned wired Ethernet connection, this can work well.
On a Windows PC, you can use the Internet Connection Sharing feature and create a Wi-Fi hotspot. Connect your iOS device to the hotspot provided by your laptop (or desktop, if it has Wi-Fi hardware) and you can then get online through the wired Ethernet connection.
With a Windows PC, you can also share a Wi-Fi network you’re connected to over Wi-Fi. You’ll just need to use the Virtual Router software to turn your Windows laptop into a Wi-Fi hotspot.
RELATED:How to Turn Your Mac Into a Wi-Fi Hotspot
On a Mac, you can use the Sharing panel in the System Preferences window to enable Internet sharing over Wi-Fi, sharing a wired Ethernet connection connected to your Mac via a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Unlike on a Windows PC, your Mac can’t share a Wi-Fi connection it’s connected to by creating a Wi-Fi hotspot. It can only do one thing at a time with one physical Wi-Fi adapter. However, you can do this by purchasing additional USB-to-Wi-Fi devices, giving your Mac multiple Wi-Fi interfaces.
How To Turn On Internet On IphoneReverse-Tether Over Bluetooth
RELATED:How to Pair a Bluetooth Device to Your Computer, Tablet, or Phone
On a Windows PC, you shouldn’t need to bother creating a Bluetooth personal area network (PAN) at all. You’ll probably be better off just creating a Wi-Fi hotspot and connecting to it from your iPhone or iPad.

On a Mac, creating a Bluetooth PAN is a useful way to share a Wi-Fi Internet connection your Mac is connected to. This is useful when you can’t get your iPhone or iPad online via Wi-Fi — perhaps you only have a single login to the network and you can only have one device online at a time. This often happens on hotel Wi-Fi networks.
To do this, open the Sharing panel in the System Preferences window, tell your Mac you want to share its Wi-Fi connection, and select Bluetooth. Pair your iPhone or iPad with the computer via Bluetooth and it’ll gain access to the Internet through the Bluetooth connection.
USB Reverse-Tethering — Only for Jailbreakers
You can tether your Mac or Windows laptop to your iPhone or iPad via a USB cable, gaining access to the Internet through the phone or tablet via the USB cable.
So, can you reverse-tether an iPhone or iPad to a Mac or Windows PC over USB, gaining access to the computer’s Intenret connection from your phone or tablet? It sounds logical, but you can’t normally do this.
Like all sorts of things you can’t normally do on an iPhone or iPad, you can likely do this if you jailbreak the device and go out of your way to hack around.
But we don’t reccomend trying this. Instead of reverse-tethering over a USB cable, just create a Wi-Fi hotspot or a Bluetooth PAN to share your Mac or Windows PC’s Internet connection with your iPhone or iPad. It’ll work without any jailbreaking or hacks required. Sure, a wired connection might technically be faster, but the wireless one should be good enough.
These same methods can be used to share an Internet connection from other operating systems, too. For example, Linux PCs also offer the ability to create Wi-Fi hotspots, and you can connect your iPhone or iPad to that hotspot over Wi-Fi.

Getting on the Internet with your iPhone is easy, using its Wi-Fi or 3G capabilities. How you connect to the Internet depends on what connections are available:
To enable 3G access, tap Settings, then General, and then tap Network. Tap to turn on the Enable 3G and Cellular Data settings. Naat downlaod full mp3 file. Do note that browsing the Internet using a 3G connection can eat up your data plan allotment quickly if your plan doesn’t include unlimited data access.
To connect to a Wi-Fi network, you have to complete a few steps.
Free public Wi-Fi networks typically don’t require passwords. However, it’s then possible for someone else to track your online activities over these unsecured networks. Avoid accessing financial accounts or sending sensitive e-mail when connected to a public hotspot
